Meet Judy and the family, who are Laguna Locals! We had a great shoot at the beach here in Laguna, the kids were great, they do commercial modeling and acting which made it that mush easier for me! Here are my favorites from the shoot.

Meet Hong and Dai! I met Hong through Carli, who’s wedding I photographed at the Bowers Museum in June. Hong is in the hair industry as well, as you tell by her awesome style!

I look for “man” things in nature
I love the smooth texture of her satin dress.
We were nearing the end of the shoot in the Canyon and Hong pointed out how she liked this tree, so I made her sit under it.

We ended up back at the studio on my cool custom infinity wall. They had traditional attire, so we composed an nontraditional photo style.

Congrats to Shervin and Aida! They got hitched at the courthouse and wanted the photos to prove it! We shot on location at her mother’s home. I first met Aida when I photographed her brother’s wedding 4 years ago. Not only is Aida beautiful, she has the brains too, as she runs her own thriving Dental Practice.

I shot this image with my Lensbabies, the blur was captured in camera, I love the way the light illuminates the left side of her body and beautiful curly hair.

Lensflare is an amazing effect, ‘breaking the rules” and shootdirectly into the sun, it creates such a warm romantic feeling.

look how the light just illuminates part of her face and the flowers in her hair, then falls to the blackest of blacks, and you see just a hint of the relfection of her dress in the window.

I love the mood of the above image, cropping in close really reveals the love and intimacy these two feel for each other.

This image was captured using the ambient light and my 85mm at 1.2.

This was the fimal image of the day, her shoes were off, so I asked them to run towards me, I love how Shervin is looking at her, she is winning the race!

These two were so much fun, I still have a side ache from the shot from Laughing so hard! They will tie the knot next year at Arroyo Trabuco.
Isn’t Jennifer’s hair stunning? Carli is her hairstylist- contact me for her info if you want some rock’n locks.
Here is an image from Carli’s wedding at the Bowers Museum:

Meet Tina- the mom to be of Twins! One boy one girl. The doctor put her on limited bed-rest right before the shoot, so I brought all my equipment and set up my portable studio in her home. It was her idea for the bath tub shot with all the bubbles!

Congrats to Lauren & Stuart, who got hitched in 90210 land. They had an old hollywood theme 40’s film noir for the reception, and really awesome 8×10 black and whte glossys of Hollywoods elite movie stars on the tables which were filled with white flower centerpeices, and the party unfolded in the sunset ballroom of the berverly hills hotel. http://www.beverlyhillshotel.com/
This couple truly compliments each other, they were side by side the entire reception.

To me this image really captured thier theme of a 40’s film noir.

Lauren was Bare foot for this shot (Love her spirit!), you can see Stuart holding her shoes in his right hand along with her boquet- what a good hubby! And check out that lens flare!!!!

This is a shot of the church- could not ask for a more dramatic sky.

I love this shot of Stuart right before the ceremony, the way the light just accentuates the edge of his profile.
One of my all time favorite shots of the bride walking down the isle- truly dramatic.

-right after the ceremony in the limo on the way back to the hotel- love the straw in the champagne glass!

The above shot is of the first dance, using the fish eye lens.
Thank you again Mr. and Mrs. K- for a truly remarkable event.
Thank you to Mary Sushinski of Occasions for her experptise and a exceptional co-ordination. http://www.occasiontoremember.com/

It was such fun shooting in San Clemente at the pier- it was packed ( as you will see from the cameo appearances in the photos)! Christine and Michael will get hitched in San Clemente as well at the historical Casa Romantica.
After the beach we headed to their residence in Talega- they requested some shots around their fire-pit in the back. The backyard was beautifully landscaped ( Green thumb Michael!) – they were inspired by the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland ( my kinda couple!). Very Jungle! Was looking behind my back for the Rhino. I brought along my studio calumet light with the battery pack which added a cool light in contrast to the warm glow of the fire.
